Did you know that the milk you are drinking can be reprocessed many times and it can still be sold over and over again? However, there is a way to find out how many times the milk you are drinking has been reprocessed. Perhaps you have noticed some numbers at the bottom of a milk package but you did not pay attention to them. Well those exact numbers will give you that information.

There can be numbers from 1 to 5, or from 1 to 6 in some countries. These rows of numbers may indicate two things, out of which the first one is pretty serious if it is true. If you see some numbers at the bottom of the box from 1 to 6 in a row, but one of them is omitted, that is the exact number of times the milk has been reprocessed and brought back to the supermarkets.

The Milk You Are Drinking May be Reprocessed 6 Times

After its date expires those who manufacture the milk are allowed by law to reproduce it 5 times at most, at 190°C. However, the law obliges the manufacturers to write that number on the box as well. So, for instance, you see the numbers 12456 printed on the bottom you will be able to tell that the milk has been reprocessed 3 times, since the number 3 is missing in the row. So, the date of that box of milk has expired 3 times! It can also be one number, instead of 6, and that number also shows how many times the milk has been processed.

However, there can be another meaning behind these numbers. According to some information, the numbers may also show how many times the box of milk has been recycled. So, it has nothing to do with the milk being reprocessed. Nonetheless, it is serious enough that the law regulations in many countries in the world allow the manufacturers to reprocess the milk, and that causes a panic among the population.
