1. Lemon Juice and Iodine

The recipe for this remedy is quick and easy. There are two things you should do: mix some iodine and lemon juice and apply it on the bunions.

There should be same amount of both lemon and iodine. Moreover, you can also use this mixture if you want to treat heel spur.

2. Soap and Iodine

Apply grated soap on the bunions and start massaging them. The gentle soap massage will help you relive the pain and the inflammations that bunions cause. Afterwards, just wash the area and dry it out before you use the iodine.

Take the iodine and try to draw a web over the bunion with a small stick soaked in the povidone-iodine. The reason you should do that is because the skin on this place absorbs the iodine this way very easily.

Take a pair of socks and put them on once the iodine has completely dried out. Try doing it for a month to get rid of the pain and the inflammation.

3. Homemade Bay-leaf Solution

For this solution you will need:

  • 5 big bay leafs
  • 100ml of pure alcohol (70%)
  • 3L of warm water
  • 1 tbsp of Baking soda

To make the solution first you need to chop the bay leaves into really small pieces and put them in a bowl. After that pour the alcohol on them and leave them stay like that for a week. After a week, strain the leaves.

Before you use the leaves prepare a feet soak by adding 1 tablespoon of baking soda to a liter of warm water. Soak, wipe, rub the leaves on your feet, and put on some socks. Your treatment is done. However, do it every day for at least 2 months so you can feel the effects.

4. Iodine and Aspirin

For this remedy you will need 5 aspirins or 200mg of Andol. Add the crushed pills into 10 ml of iodine and mix it really good until the aspirin completely dissolves.

You will know when it is ready when the iodine becomes colorless. Then, you can apply this mixture on your bunions or swollen joints, and before you go to bed make sure your legs are warm. Do it every night until you do not feel pay anymore.

5. Homemade Bay-leaf Syrup

Crush some bay-leaves and add 1 tablespoon of them in 300ml of water in a pot and cook the mixture for 5 minutes on medium heat. Take an enamel pot and pour the liquid after it is done.

You should make the mixture before you go to bed and leave it stay overnight. Strain it the next morning and take a small sip several times during the day.

It should not be drunk all at once. Make it every evening for three days in a row, take a week off, and repeat again for 3 days. It takes approximately 10 days to feel the results.
